1)Is there any last date for submission?

This being a Ph.D. format there would not be any last date for application

2)When will the dates of examination be announced?

Once we collect enough forms we shall announce the dates of examination in our website.

3)Where is the Demand draft to be payable?

Demand draft is to be drawn payable at Barasat.

4)Do I need to give the name of the supervisor?

If you have not yet decided then no. But at Ph.D. level there should be understanding between the guide and the student

5)Can my supervisor be from another Institute or University ?

Yes, but he has to be registered as a supervisor by the relevant Ph.D.Committee of this University.

6)What has to be done for that?

A complete CV of the supervisor along with an application to be sent by e-mail or mail to the Vice Chancellor or the Registrar

7) If the supervisor is not a faculty member of the University Department do we need a Co-Supervisor from amongst the University teachers?

No. Unless an academic necessity is felt.

8) Where can I find the syllabus for the examination/admission test?

The syllabus followed would be the Masters' degree syllabus of West Bengal State University. This is available on-line at www.wbsubsyllabus.org
