for Digitization of Registration Forms
West Bengal State University, Barasat |
Applications are invited to submit
tender for digitization of about forty thousand
registration forms of the freshly admitted
students of this University. Last date for
submission of tender is 10th September, 2008.
No tender fee is needed. Registration certificates
and identity cards for the students are to
be prepared from soft data given in an excel
sheet. Mention the charge for preparing each
of these items separately for every thousand
(and also hundred) cases. It should also separately
mention the charge for making entry in an
excel sheet from raw data. In the application,
clearly indicate the time for completion of
the job for forty thousand forms in both of
the cases, namely from excel sheet and also
from raw data. |
| Eligibility
criteria for the participation in the tender |
- 1) The bidder should have proven track
record with Government and reputed organization
and preferably should have experience
of executing similar project in any academic
institution/ University within West Bengal.
- 2) The bidder’s turnover in the
last financial year should be 25 lakhs
of rupees or above.
- 3) The bidder should be a Kolkata based
company having existence of at least three
years.
- 4) SSI registered firm would get first
preference.

| Scope
of Work |
- 1) Digitization of the registration
forms. Software should have the following
provisions:
- Database should be created with
data security and extra features such
as strong password security, limiting
the exposure of data server, data
encryption and multiple level of security
on report access and modification.
- Easy to use Query System to get
the data needed from the database
with generation of "on demand report".
- Generation of barcode of the registration
number.
- Should have the print option for
printing out the registration cards
and the option to link to the excel
sheet.
- 2) Printing of registration cards on
100 GSM paper.
- 3) Printing of colour identity cards
(containing photo, scanned from raw application
sheet) with pouch of total width 200 microns.
