| PART I: INSTRUCTION TO THE APPLICANTS |
- 1. Offers are invited by the Registrar, West Bengal State University (Barasat, North 24 Parganas) from reputed Civil Engineering Contractors for preparation of a panel of contractors required for construction of multi storied buildings and various infrastructure works in a new campus to be developed for the West Bengl State University at North 24 Parganas.
- 2. Intending applicants are required to submit their full biodata giving details about their organization, experience, technical personnel in their organization, proven competence to handle major multistoried structures, list of construction equipments and machineries etc. in the enclosed proforma.
- 3. Contractors haing proven adequate experience in construction of multistoried structures with a bank of modern construction machineries and equipments will be preferred.
- 4. Time is the essence of this project and the selected contractors will have to render required services within a specific time frame.
- 5. The application shall be signed by the person/s on behalf of the organization having necessary authorization/ power of attrney to do so. Each page of the application has to be signed.
- 6. If the space in the proforma is insufficient for furnishing the full details such information may be supplemented on separate sheet stating therein the part of the proforma and serial number. Separate sheets shall have to be used for each part of the application.
- 7. While filling up the application with regard to the list of important projects completed or in hand, the applicants shall include only thse works which are multistoried structures with minimum 08 number of floors and individually cost not less than Rs. 50 crores.
- 8. The contractor shall employ well qualified and experienced staff (both technical and non-technical)for construction of this project and, if required, will also engage the sevices of well qualified specialists or consultants pertaining to the execution of the following ancilliary or infrastructural works:-
- a) Sanitary and plumbing
- b) Electrical
- c) Drainage and sewarage
- d) Water supply
- e) Fire fighting
- f) Rain water harvesting
- g) Road network
- h) Landscape
- Cost of all the above expenditure will be within the finalised contractual rate/amount , and no extra payment wil be made on this account.
- 9. The selected contractor should ensure proper excution of the works strictly following the draiwings, designs and specifications and all along maintain high degree of quality. All materials to be supplied / utilised in the works should be as per IS specifications or as mentioned in the tender documents.
- 10. Applications containing false and/or incomplete information are liable for rejection.
- 11. The final selection of contractor will be made from the Panel of Contractors after reviewing their past experience, time period required, rate quoted, list of machineries available etc. for which the contractor may be required to attend meetings with the University or any Committee appointed by the University.
